Spain 500 Pesetas 1987 to 1994 | spain 500 pesetas y crown shield carlos coat people column heavy symbol woman man sofia espana hispana espa espanola hispan These are modern coins minted in aluminum-bronze (sadly not gold!). The obverse has Juan Carlos I and Sofia of spain, and the reverse is decorated with the neat Spanish coat of arms, with the pillars of Hercules flanking the crowned shield.

These coins all command low value unless if in absolutely uncirculated condition, where they catalog for about $10 US Dollars.

The 500 Pesetas coins dated 1989 are more common in high grades, and only catalog for $5 in fully uncirculated condition.

These values are approximate and only apply to coins free of problems like corrosion, scratches, spots or stains. Be sure to read the 'Important Terminology' page on the top left in under to interpret what 'catalog value' means.
