France 5, 10, 20, and 25 Centimes 1914 to 1945
Interesting coin, Blah. The hole adds character (sort of). The big RF stands for 'Republic Francaise' the French Republic, and 'Liberte, Egalite, Fraternite' means Liberty, Equality, and Brotherhood.
Coin: 712 , Genre: Colonizers and Colonies

Is 10 Centimes of 1905 year is rare or 1914 as I had found one dated 1914 with dealer at reasonable price of 400 Indian rupees - Gurkirat
Gurkirat -- This page applies only to coins that look like the picture at the upper right. The coin catalogs tell us that France issued two types of 10 centimes coins in 1914. The one that looks like the picture on this page, with the hole, is very rare. The other has no hole, is made of copper, and is not rare. For a summary of the 10 centimes without a hole see this CoinQuest page [Press Here]. - CoinQuest (Paul)
I have a 20 centimes dated 1963. Can i sell it? - vin
Yes, you can sell it, but it takes work. See our page about selling coins. It gives three different methods for selling. You must choose one of these methods. CoinQuest does not buy coins. Click to this page [Press Here]. - CoinQuest (Paul)
I have a 1918 25 c me I was wondering what it's value is.
If it looks like the picture on this page, then the value is shown on this page. The value goes up and down, depending on condition. - CoinQuest (Paul)
I have a circulated 5c piece from 1914. How would I find out its value? - Sandy
If your coin looks like the one in our picture, it is a rare piece. It is so rare coin catalogs do not publish a value. We looked in our professional database of auction results and found one which sold for $3800 US dollars in a 2010 auction. If you would like to send a picture of your coin, we can probably give you a decent estimate of value. To do so, start an e-mail exchange using the Contact button at the top of the home page. - CoinQuest (Paul)
I have a 1918 Liberte Egalite Fraternite 25 in mint condition. I have researched many sites but none have this date. They all have 1915-1917 then they skip to 1936. How can I find out what it is worth?
That's odd. But you are right. I searched around our competitors and had difficultly finding much information. It must be some kind of glitch, as values of French 1918 25 centimes are well established. Here's a page on Numista [PRESS HERE]. The famous Krause catalog calls out these values for your coin:
worn: less than $1 US dollar approximate catalog value
average circulated (VF): less than $1
well preserved (XF): $1.50
fully uncirculated: (MS60): $3.50
BTW, the best method for finding values of a specific coin is to go to eBay. Use the 'completed listings' feature and find your coin there. Actual auction prices are the best indication of a collector coin's value. At CoinQuest, we use catalogs some of the time, but most of the time we use actual auction results. There are professional (cost money) coin databases that show auction results for thousands and thousands of collector coins. - CoinQuest (Paul)
I have a 1918 10 Cmes coin in mint condition but I have no clue what this is worth? Can anyone tell me what this is worth? Is this worth as much as the 1917 one or not because it is only a one year differential rate between them. - nombini mdlakuse my email adrees email@example.com
The values are listed on this page under '10 CENTIMES.' Dates are important in the world of coin collecting - things like mintage numbers and design variations can affect value, making some dates more valuable than others. A 1918 ten centimes does not have the same value as a 1917 ten centimes. - CoinQuest (Todd)
what is a 50 centimes dated 1941 worth?
