Nigeria 3 and 6 Pence, and 1 and 2 Shillings 1959 to 1962 Elizabeth II minted these 3 pence, 6 pence, shilling, and 2 shillings in nickel-brass and copper-nickel in 1959. The 1 shilling coins were also minted in 1961 and 1962. As modern coins they are not worth very much. Coins that are in splendid condition, fully and completely uncirculated, are worth a few US dollars based on collector demand. A fully uncirculated two shilling is worth the most, about $8 US dollars catalog value.

The obverse ('heads side') all have the Queen's portrait. On the reverse there are differnt artistic renditions of local flora.
