Liberia 10, 25, 50 Cents and 1 Dollar 1960 to 1976
Liberia 10, 25, 50 Cents and 1 Dollar 1960 to 1976

Liberia issued these coins from 1960 to 1976. Coins dated after 1962 are made of copper nickel, and are therefore worth face value. As always, nice looking specimens, especially those with little or no wear, are in demand from coin collectors who will pay a few US dollars to add them to their collections.

Pre-1963 coins carry silver value. To find this value, multiply the number of troy ounces of silver in your coin by the current price of silver, available at web sites such as kitco.com.

10 CENTS: 0.060 troy ounces silver
25 CENTS: 0.173 troy ounces silver
50 CENTS: 0.300 troy ounces silver
1 DOLLAR: 0.600 troy ounces silver

Coin: 6627 , Genre: Core African
