-- Wikipedia (what a great web site!)

If you look closely at your coin, Citabria, you will see that it is actually dated 1823, not 1825, although the 3 looks like a 5 at first glance.

Augustin minted his coins in 1/2, 1, 2, and 8 reales denominations, as indicated by the RJM (looks like RIM) annotation a the bottom of the coin on the reverse.

Here are some typical catalog values. You will have to use our Important Terminology page to convert these values to actual buy and sell values:

1/2 REAL (16 mm diameter)
worn: $30 US dollars approximate catalog value
average circulated: $50
well preserved: $100
fully uncirculated: $500

1 REAL (20 mm diameter)
worn: $100 US dollars approximate catalog value
average circulated: $200
well preserved: $400
fully uncirculated: $1500

2 REALES (27 mm diameter)
worn: $50 US dollars approximate catalog value
average circulated: $100

fully uncirculated: $2000

8 REALES (39 mm diameter)
worn: $100 US dollars approximate catalog value

Citabria, since your particular coin is stained, scratched, and holed, it will be worth far less than what the catalog value indicates.
