Switzerland 5 Franc 1922 to Date
Switzerland 5 Franc 1922 to Date

These 5 francs coins from Switzerland were minted in silver at the beginning, but then, in 1968, the same pattern was struck in copper-nickel. The modern copper-nickel coins are worth face value, 5 Swiss francs, or about $5 US dollars. A collector might pay a few US dollars over face to add an uncirculated specimen to his or her collection. The pre-1968 silver coins carry significant value, as shown by the catalog prices below.

Yes I have an Confoederatio Helvetica 1933B 5 FR and I don't know if it's in a good condition to sell it to y'all. I'll like to send a picture to you and for y'all to tell me if it is or isn't. - Otha Franklin
Otha -- CoinQuest does not buy coins. You can sell your coin on eBay or take out a free ad on the CoinQuest site. Press the 'buy and sell' button. - CoinQuest (Paul)

Re: modern copper-nickel coins are worth essentially zero. It still has a face value of ~$5 in circulation. Collect enough for a large exchange lot and get 80% on ebay. - John
John is absolutely correct. Thanks! We fixed the page. - CoinQuest (Paul)
