Poland 10, 20, and 50 Groszy 1923
Poland 10, 20, and 50 Groszy 1923

Chet has one of the several denomination Groszy coins minted by Poland in 1923. All the coins have basically the same pattern of the bird, and the other sides vary the pattern to depict the specific denomination. These coins are minted in nickel. A corresponding set of coins with denomination 1 grosz, 2 grosze, and 5 groszy were minted in bronze with substantially different reverse sides.

For the 10, 20, and 50 Groszy coins, all their values are about one or two US dollars in average circulated condition. Fully uncirculated, the values rise to a few dollars.

Coin: 4467 , Genre: Central Europe North South

I have a 5 groszy coin that fits the description of the one mentioned in this appraisal. I was wondering what it is worth. - Jake
Jake, we've got a separate page for the smaller denomination coins, since they are struck in a different metal and one side looks different. You can see the page at this link. - CoinQuest (Chris)
