Comments

I have a Napoleon 111 Empereur coin, with a Gotee Beard, with an Eagle on other side dated I believe 1856, with a Triangle Mark beneath, it could be questionable as a letter A, as almost flat,on turning the Coin over either side, the Eagle or Head is upside down to each other,
French coins use a lot of different mint marks. Most of them are small drawings, not letters. For instance, there is an anchor mint mark, a horse's head, a bee, a vase, a lion, and a torch, plus many more. They do not usually affect value. The orientation of back to front on your coin is normal. - CoinQuest (Paul)
